PENALTY FUNCTION

If the correct authentication number is not entered within three consecutive

attempts, the MFX-C3035 locks itself to prevent unauthorized use. Likewise,

the MFX-C3035 locks up if the incorrect administrator number and personal

identi cation number are entered a total of three times. The MFX-C3035 also locks up if

the correct department name and password are not entered within three consecutive

tries, or if the correct secure print number is not entered within three consecutive

attempts. The number of attempts can be changed. The default setting is three

attempts.

IP ADDRESS FILTERING

The MFX-C3035 can be set to reject access from terminals with unregistered IP

addresses. This prevents unauthorized access from equipment outside thenetwork.

ISO 15408

The MFX-C3035 is ISO 15408 certi ed —the international standard for evaluating

product and system security functions.
